HowMuchIsMyHomeWorth.uk is operated by Eightfinity Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), which also operates PropertyAlert.uk. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
2. No Account Required
HowMuchIsMyHomeWorth.uk does not require registration, login, or an email address to use. We do not collect names, email addresses or payment details on this site.
3. Data We Collect
- Search data: when you look up a valuation, we log the postcode sector searched, the outcome (valued / no data / busy) and the confidence score, for service monitoring and to identify areas with poor data coverage. We do not log full postcodes, addresses, or any personal identifier alongside this.
- Usage data: pages visited, general location (country/region level), device and browser type, via Google Analytics (see Section 6).
- Technical/security data: IP address, processed transiently by our hosting provider and Cloudflare for security and abuse prevention. Not linked to search data.
4. How We Use Data
- To generate and display property valuations
- To monitor and improve service reliability and data coverage
- To understand aggregate site usage via analytics
- To display advertising, where applicable (Section 7)
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell data to third parties.
5. Legal Basis for Processing
- Legitimate interests — operating and improving a free tool, security and abuse prevention

6. Cookies & Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use this site. Google Analytics uses cookies and may process data outside the UK/EEA under Google's standard contractual clauses. - HM Land Registry — sold-price data underlying all valuations (Crown copyright, Open Government Licence)
- Hetzner — cloud hosting (EU-based servers, Germany)

9. Data Retention
Search log entries (postcode sector, outcome, confidence score) are retained for up to 12 months for service monitoring, then deleted. Analytics data retention follows Google Analytics' standard settings.
10. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal data we hold, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Since this site does not collect identifying information tied to searches, most requests will relate to analytics/cookie data — email [email protected] with any request, or manage cookie consent directly in your browser.
